Registrations are incomplete without payments or purchase orders.

Continuing Education: (Parents not eligible)
Certificates of attendance will be available. The conference will
have a total of 12 lecture hours. We are not offering any other
credit at this time.


Graduate Credit:  (Parents not eligible for graduate credit)
Up to 2 credits are available. Workshop participants may choose to
register for graduate credit through Silver Lake College,
Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Silver Lake College is accredited by the
North Central Association of Colleges and the National Council for
Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).

Participants who choose this option will have the opportunity to
extend the workshop knowledge and skills to the classroom or
other relevant educational settings in an independent and
authentic application of theory to practice. Credit registration form,
syllabus and evaluation criteria checklists for projects will be
provided the day of the workshop. Checklists are designed to
clarify and outline project requirements. Registration for graduate
credit is in addition to workshop fee.
Cost per credit is $175.00.

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made within two weeks of the
conference will receive no reimbursement.
Substitutions are allowed. Cancellations
prior to two weeks to the conference will be
subject to a $30 administration fee- these
will be accepted only in writing.

Meals:
Lunch will be on your own. Breakfast and
afternoon snack are included in your
registration fee.

Books:
We will have a large bookstore at the
conference. There will be over 85 different
titles related to autism. Purchase orders,
Visa, Mastercard, checks and cash are
accepted.

Specific, user-friendly strategies and techniques for providing relevant social skills
instruction to children and teens with ASD will be shared at this workshop. Enjoyable
socialization methods are emphasized so individuals may experience success and
desire to build skills. Social deficits affect life at home, school and eventually in the
workplace. Conference participants will learn both highly beneficial strategies that
can be used across a variety of settings and routines; and practical and effective
solutions to assist 'typical' peers, family members and professionals to become more
understanding, accepting and engaging of those with social difficulties.

This workshop will focus on specific strategies to increase the likelihood of providing
a successful experience for students with Asperger Syndrome (AS) in school.
Workshop participants will (a) gain an understanding of the challenges of students
with AS in the school setting; (b) learn specific strategies to reduce the likelihood of
problematic behavior by pro-actively engineering a supportive environment, and (c)
learn practical strategies to address common academic, social, organizational, and
behavioral issues.
