Karen Levine, Ph.D., is a Developmental Psychologist, Instructor Harvard Medical School,
Clinical Director of the Autism and Developmental Disabilities program at Cambridge Health
Alliance, and is in private practice. She was co-director of the Boston Children’s Hospital
Autism program in the early nineties.

Naomi Chedd, MA, LMHC, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Educational
Consultant, and Autism Resource Specialist at the Autism and Developmental Disabilities
program of Cambridge Health Alliance. She provides child, family and school consultation
regarding behavioral, social and emotional development.

Karen and Naomi have both authored numerous articles and book chapters and do many
trainings and presentations regionally and nationally on issues related to social, emotional
and behavioral development of children with autism and other developmental disabilities.

Karen and Naomi recently presented Replays at the 2007 Autism Society of America
conference in Arizona and provide frequent workshops at the state, regional and local level
for parents and professionals. Their book,
Replays: Using Play to Enhance Emotional
and Behavioral Development for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders
, has
recently been published (London: Jessica Kingsley Publishers, 2007) and has received
clinical acclaim.

Karen and Naomi both have a profound belief in the power of relationships and of humor,
as teaching and therapeutic tools. They share 12 years of friendship as well as
professional collaboration.
